Coronavirus update

Following the latest government advice we have updated our guidance to parents. Children should be kept at home for 14 days if they or another member of their household has a high temperature and/or a new, continuous cough. If this is the case then please contact the school  to report the absence and the reason for the absence.

A number of our staff have had to self isolate due to underlying medical conditions. We still have adequate staffing ratios.

Unfortunately, whilst the school remains open parents should be aware that teachers may not be able to set work for any children that are absent from school.  Whilst we understand that this will be frustrating, we are sure that parents will appreciate that teachers are still having to plan, teach and assess the work of pupils who are present; plan and cover work for absent colleagues as well as prepare work for a possible future school closure.

Where possible teachers will try to keep absent families updated. Please remember our on line learning platforms, My maths, Spelling Shed and Active learn can be accessed at home, and reading daily will also help learning to continue.

We have no confirmed cases in school.

Thankyou for your continued support.
