Thankyou to everyone who has contacted us today with messages of support. During these difficult times it really helps staff morale. Many of you have embraced the 'home schooling' and it is lovely to hear how you are all getting along.
Please be patient with the teaching staff, they are trying their best, many are working face to face in school alongside online learning, and although Different classes will have different experience due to the greater independence in learning children have as they get older. Websites have been suggested to support you for children to access should they have the opportunity. I had instructed teachers to start tomorrow, they have already started sending bits and pieces. We have never done anything like this before its new to us all.
We currently have two staff members self isolating due to symptoms and know eventually we will all have to do this, however they are still managing to keep up to date with dojo messages.
Some of our children have attended our childcare provision for key workers today. We are asking, as recommended by the government that this is only used as a last resort. The best way to keep everyone safe and to stop the spread of this virus is to stay at home. Please respect this and only send children if you have no other option. If you or your partner are at home then please keep your child with you. There are no extra spaces available this week.
We apologise for how late the packed lunches for pupil premium free school meals arrived at your homes today. This is due to a late deliver from the local authority and the 3 and 1/2 hours it took for us to get to everyone's home. Please let us know if you do not require a packed lunch this week.
Keep sending the photos of what you are doing, its great to see them and we will be sharing them later ibn the week in our news letter.
Keep safe everyone and we will hopefully see you all soon when school is back to normal.
