Update

Corona Virus update.

Dear Parents/carers,

We had a limited number of paper, pens and pencils bagged up in the reception area for anyone who would like them. These are available on a first come, first served basis and we will let you know via text message once we have run out of supplies. We are sorry that we will not be able to home deliver.

We are planning to continue the sandwich run until we have confirmation of the food vouchers from the government. Some schools have already organised their own, but unfortunately due to the number of qualifying children, we are not able to do this ourselves as we do not have enough funds available in the school budget.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are still waiting for the government to action the food vouchers and provide further advice regarding this matter.

Below is a link to the relevant GOV advice for schools for further information.

All children who are currently registered for free school meals (FSM) will get the vouchers when ready. Today we have texted/emailed all families whose children will be eligible. If you have not received this message, then you can still register online if you think you qualify for free school meals by doing the following:

Enter this address into your browser- www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk and then click on free school meals and milk and complete the form. It usually takes a few days to become registered and school will be notified as soon as it has been authorised.

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

Free school meals are DIFFERENT to universal meals in F2, year 1 and 2 and you can qualify for FSM in any year group. It is worth checking out as we are anticipating the voucher for each FSM child to be around £10 a week.

Thankyou for your continued support and take care everyone.
