We hope you are all keeping safe and well as we enter our next three weeks of isolation. We are anticipating that we will be staying closed to pupils accept key workers children and vulnerable families for the whole of this period.

Teachers will be returning on Monday 20th April with more distance learning. Look out for those Dojo messages.

Free School Meals.

If your child is in reciept of free school meals (not universal free school meals) you should have received a voucher code via email. Only those who do not attend school will receive this code, as they are offered a free meal in school. If there are any difficulties accessing your voucher please let the school office know via email (some of our office staff are working from home) and we will try to sort any problems out. ‘Edenred ‘ the company dealing with the vouchers are telling us that difficulties are arising due to an overload in their systems. The first set of vouchers sent out are time limiting and need to be used within the next week. A new set of vouchers and codes will be sent out next Friday.

Key worker and vulnerable family child care.

Childcare will continue for the foreseable future. Next week there will be a change of staffing to team 3. Mrs Inquieti-Lamb, Miss Parry, Miss Briggs and Mrs Gascoigne will be working with the children during the week. Ms Weightman will be manning the school office. Mrs Ufton will be working in breakfast club and Mrs Dixon will be cooking school dinners. Lunch staff will be Mrs Teixeira and Ms Edwards.

As distance learning has returned children will have ‘learning sessions’ during the week alongside the usual outdoor opportunities (weather permitting).

Please could you inform the school office of the days you are attending and select the chosen dinner to help us with our planning.

School Contact

On Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th April we will be starting our weekly ring around to check that everything is ok with our families. Many of these phone calls will be ‘no caller ID’ as staff complete these whilst working from home.

If you need to contact school please use the email adresss and for safeguarding concerns  alternatively ring the school office phone number on 01773719463 or mobile 07342013361. There is always a senior staff member on duty at school.

We thought it would be nice for our children to grow sunflowers during the lockdown period to brighten up Eastwood and surrounding areas. This week we have managed to deliver sunflower seeds to your homes. There are the occasional addresses which we have not been able to find and we appologise for this. If you have not received your sunflowers and would like some, or need some more, we have a few packets left. Please collect them from the reception area of school. Remember please send us your photographs.

Keep safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
