Year 4

Welcome to Year 4

Miss Ward ,Miss Fletcher and Miss Goddard welcome you to the Year 4 class page.

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year,  and are as ready and eager to go as we are. We appreciated all the support in the previous term and Miss Fletcher, Miss Goddard and I are looking forward to the exciting term ahead!

Here you will find up to date, exciting class news, our children's work, photos and what we will be learning in the upcoming term.

You can also visit our class dojo page at

Our topic this term is:

Electricity - How could we cope without electricity for one day?

In English we are reading 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe' by C.S Lewis and 'Until I met Dudley' by Roger McGough and Chris Riddell

Homework will now be set termly. Children are expected to complete and submit 1 piece of homework per week every Friday (alongside their three reads (minimum) per week and learning their spellings/ timetables) which they can select from the placemat below. They must be prepared to show evidence of completing the homework for example a photo on dojo.

P.E. kit will be needed in school every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Please note- P.E kit is plain white t-shirt or polo top, plain black shorts or tracksuit bottoms and trainers or plimsolls, plain jumper or fleece.

Please be prepared for outdoor P.E as we are trying to be outside wherever possible in the current circumstances.

Please can children bring in a carrier bag on P.E days to put any muddy or wet things in as we ran out of our classroom store last term.
