At Laurence View Primary School, we are committed to giving every child the best possible start in reading. We teach phonics through the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme, helping children learn the relationship between sounds and letters so that they can read and write with confidence.

Through daily phonics lessons, engaging reading practice sessions and carefully matched decodable books, children develop the skills they need to become fluent, independent readers and lifelong learners. We work closely with families to ensure every child is supported on their reading journey.
