Our Year Group Curriculum Overviews provide a snapshot of the learning planned for each year group across the academic year. They bring together the different subjects and themes within our curriculum, giving parents and carers an insight into the knowledge, skills and experiences children will encounter throughout the year.

Each overview reflects our commitment to helping pupils learn, grow and achieve through a broad, ambitious and carefully sequenced curriculum. Learning is planned to build upon prior knowledge, strengthen understanding and develop increasingly independent learners.

Alongside the core subjects of English, mathematics and science, our overviews highlight the rich range of learning opportunities across the wider curriculum, including humanities, the arts, computing, physical education and personal development. They also showcase many of the enrichment experiences that enhance learning and help children make meaningful connections between subjects.

Whilst the overviews provide a useful guide to the year's learning, teachers continually adapt lessons to meet the needs of their pupils and respond to current interests, ensuring learning remains engaging, relevant and ambitious for all.
